Conversations about the inner work of motherhood

Be Mom Your Way is a podcast about what happens inside you as a mother and how that shapes the way you show up with your kids.

I share real moments from raising three toddlers, including twins, and pair them with behavioral science, Acceptance and Commitment Training, and simple practices you can use in your own day.

If you are tired of ignoring your inner world, this is a place to slow down, get language for what you are feeling, and find practical ways to respond in a way you feel proud of.

On the podcast, we talk about:

  • The inner work of motherhood in real daily moments

  • Awareness of your internal cues before you react

  • Emotional regulation when the day feels loud and fast

  • Values based choices when you feel pulled in different directions

  • Repair after hard moments with your kids or partner

  • Behavior science explained in everyday language

  • Supporting your child’s behavior without shaming yourself

Several episodes follow the Inner Work of Motherhood Framework I teach, which moves through four core phases: Notice, Regulate, Align, and Repair.

Current framework episodes:

  • Episode 8 : The Inner Work of Motherhood: Notice
The first phase, where you learn to see what is happening inside you with more honesty and clarity.

  • Episode 9: The Inner Work of Motherhood: Regulate
The second phase, where you practice one small internal shift that gives you room to choose your next move.

  • Episode 10: The Inner Work of Motherhood: Align (Coming Soon)

  • Episode 11: The Inner Work of Motherhood: Repair (Coming Soon)

You will hear me name these phases often and walk through real examples from my home so you can see how they work in real time. The point is not to be perfect. The point is to build awareness and small shifts that change how you move through the hard, loud, and ordinary moments of raising young children.

about jess

I am a mom of three toddlers, including twins, and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with two master’s degrees. I have spent more than a decade helping leaders, clinicians, educators, and families understand human behavior and emotional patterns under pressure.

Be Mom Your Way is where I bring that work into motherhood, blending real stories from my own home with research based practices so mothers can understand their inner world and feel more grounded in how they show up.
